I grew up on a dairy farm here in Deckerville, Michigan. I graduated from Deckerville High School and attended college at Spring Arbor College (now Spring Arbor University) in Spring Arbor, MI.
Places I have taught:
-Christian Day School, Belle Glade, Florida, where I taught 3rd Grade; 4th-6th grades Math, Social Studies, and Science.
-Gove Elementary School, Belle Glade, Florida, where I taught 4th grade, 3rd grade, 2nd grade, and Reading Recovery Training.
-Shadow Oaks Elementary School, Horn Lake, Mississippi where I taught 3rd grade, then 2nd grade.
-Deckerville Elementary School 6th grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and now here I am teaching 4th grade.
My son, Ben, and I lost our Border Collie puppy, so we found a Lab/Shepherd puppy to add to our family. His name is Bohdi, and Spunky, Ben's cat is not a big fan.
When I am not doing school work or playing with Bohdi, I like to read, sing/listen to music, and watch TV shows like NCIS, Take Two, SWAT, Blue Bloods, Hawaii 5-0, and McGyver. I also like to crochet, knit, sew, and garden when I can find the time. I sing in 3 choirs: the Port Sanilac Choral Club, which has 3 concerts a year; the Deckerville Area Choral Club, which has 2 big performances a year; and the McGregor Methodist Church Choir, where I sing weekly. So you and your family will need to come and check out one of the Christmas concerts. I look forward to seeing you there.
Belle Glade is a major farming area for sugar cane and vegetables.
